For Yoga Students
Yoga is an attainable, effective and efficient way to meet the daily fitness requirements of the physical body, and diffuse accumulated stress of the spiritual body inherent in our modern society. Whether you are a newcomer or seasoned student, classes always begin with a thorough warm up to prepare the joints and get the blood flowing before moving into the strong foundation of the base postures. Options for deeper expressions of the postures are offered; however, we go there only when our bodies are ready. Sometimes just meditating is enough of an accomplishment on any given day regardless of ability level. Meditation and relaxation is encouraged. No one is ever forced or shamed into progressing farther than they feel capable of at that moment.
For Seniors and Special Populations
Yoga is for everybody regardless of flexibility or chronological age. If getting up and down from the floor is an impossible task because of permanent physical limitations, then a supported, mindful, moving mediation may be the answer to improved circulation, increased range of motion and mental acuity. When the body is supported in a chair, the student is free to explore the boundaries of their practice and their lives, realizing a new sense of emotional independence and physical strength.
For Yoga Professionals
We teach to inspire, but as professional instructors, we also know that the well needs replenishing from time to time. When considering time away from the studio, Guest Teaching may be the answer you are looking for. Knowing your studio is in capable hands and your students remain on their path to enlightenment while you refresh your sense of self is a gift that you deserve. Whether you are away for an hour or a weekend intensive, the studio remains vibrant and fluid, anticipating your return.
For Corporations
The health and well being of your employees directly affects productivity and ultimately, profitability. My classes will improve inter and intra personal skills, increase creativity, confidence and mental focus, and most importantly relieve stress, decreasing illness and time away from the office. Fewer illnesses equal fewer insurance claims and lower insurance costs. Yoga is also a wonderful addition for a team building seminar or retreat, fostering camaraderie, respect and trust.
For Emergency Services Personnel
Whether you are police, fire or rescue, your day can go from 0-60 in a New York minute, ratcheting up adrenaline, resulting in an accumulation of toxins. Hours spent sitting in a vehicle or at a desk shorten the hip flexor muscles, weaken the lower back and tighten the chest and neck adding seconds or minutes to transition from sitting to standing or running, regardless of an individuals muscle mass and tone. Increase your flexibility, agility, speed, posture, mental acuity and patience through moving meditation and breathe control.
